Rachael Parenta born and raised in New Jersey attended standup comedy college, aka Emerson College in Boston. Upon graduation she embarked on her comedic career and just like so many before her she up and moved to Portland, OR.  In the Northwest Ms. Parenta co-founded Temp Theatre Productions, performed with the improvisation company ComedySportz and toured her stand-up all over the region. 

 

It was in Oregon where Rachael developed her highly emotive, intelligent and at times silly act. Her unique and sometimes paranoid perspective gives a fresh spin on topics that effect all our lives, like family, relationships, work and dreams.  Audiences can’t help watch her on stage. She also been known to break out the guitar and serenade crowds with her original songs on reciprocal love, satanic apartment managers, and the benefits of alcohol. 

 

Since her return to the East Coast she has been seen on Lifetime, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. She’s was featured in Time Out New York had several short plays produced, an essay published alongside Carrie Fisher in the book entitled What Was I Thinking?!, contributed writings to the Grumpy Films’ podcast "Sketchpod", was featured in the New York Underground Comedy Festival’s Emerging Comics Showcase, has appeared twice at the Women in Comedy Festival in Cambridge, co-hosted "Sports Ball" podcast produced by TWIB FM. 

 

She can be seen performing in NYC’s downtown scene as well as small towns and big cities throughout the US.  Don’t miss out on this multi-faceted, multi-talented 5-foot comedic dynamo.
